On Saturday 24 February 2024, at 16:00, an open event will be held at a municipal center in Kamatero, as part of the Fairville project. The main subject of discussion will be the history and operation of the Landfill in Fyli and the inequalities that emerge in relation to waste management in Attica.

As part of the WEST ATTICA FAIRVILLE LAB activities, a series of local participatory workshops are planned to be held in the different areas of Thriasio plain. The "local workshops" are organised as successive cycles of meetings and participatory research and mapping activities.

The programme of the first cycle of West Attica local workshops:

  • 24 February 2024: Presentation and discussion of the history of the Landfill in Fyli (Thomas Bizas) - Identification of Local Problems.

  • 9 March 2024: Local stories and experiences - Collection of documents

  • 30 March 2024: Collective mapping - Synthesis

The event is open to residents of the area and to anyone interested in taking part in the discussion.
