Research Dialogues

Forum “Reserach Dialogues” aims to explore emerging research approaches to issues related to the city and participatory design, to facilitate knowledge exchange regarding research methods, tools, and/or artistic practices with a research dimension, and to foster networking with other researchers and members of the Participatory LAB working in related fields.

1. Public Space

Indicative fields: Architecture and Urban Design, Urban Regeneration, Mobility and Walkability, Urban Commons

3. Spatial Inequalities
& Justice

Indicative fields: Social and environmental inequalities and exclusions, Housing Crisis, Energy Poverty, Gender Inequalities, Local Movements.

2. Environment & Climate Change

Indicative fields: Architecture and Urban Design, Urban Regeneration, Mobility and Walkability, Urban Commons

4. Urban Development &
Governance

Indicative fields: Institutional Framework, Austerity

and Unequal Resource Distribution, Local Government, European Policies, Sustainable Development Strategies.

The conference aims to broaden the debate on these issues while bridging the gap between research contributions and real-life field experiences involving the application of participatory processes and tools. Additionally, it seeks to connect with institutional policy implementation. To achieve these objectives, the conference process itself will strive for greater inclusion and participation through a combination of papers and posters, round tables, presentations, participatory workshops, and plenary discussions.
